Maple Nut (Japan)

Bancha is a lower grade green tea from the lower leaves of the tea bush.  Sometimes they roast these leaves to create a "roasted bancha" also known as "hojicha" tea which gives it a brownish appearance ends up tasting more like an oolong instead of a green tea.  So the base of this tea is the roasted green tea, and then maple flavoring and almonds give it a fantastically sweet nutty maple flavor.  If you like dark oolongs, this is a tea you will enjoy.  You can steep it more like an oolong or black tea instead of like a green tea.
