The “honey processed” method instead of traditional “washed processed” means that the coffee fruit (called "honey") was allowed to remain on the bean for longer than normal, which causes the sugars and fruitiness to soak into the bean. "Black Honey" coffees have the fruit on them longer then "red" or "yellow" or "white" honey coffees, making it the sweetest and most flavorful of all the honey processed coffees.
As a result, this coffee tastes extra sweet and has flashes of plum, citrus, and cherry as you drink it.
